Back in May 2011, deep in the Welsh hillsides Project Dakar set about entering its first EVER Rally, and Top Gear were there to follow our journey.
Project Mobility is a collection of motorsport addicts and petrol heads, from all walks of life including; the 4x4 industry, soldiers, veterans, pacifists, mechanics, businessmen and women and off road racers. The Project has just been put under new management with a team of soldiers who are experts in racing, offroading and qualified instructors to take the Project into 2012 and make the objectives all possible.
With the help of our supporters, patrons and partners we use our skills, knowledge, expertise and compassion to help wounded servicemen and women regain independence, confidence and mobility, and help the wider disabled community.
Project Mobility helps ordinary people achieve extraordinary things through a range of exciting projects and initiatives from; converting Land Rovers to be driven by amputees, to organising overland safaris through to putting together Britain’s first all disabled Rally Crew for international competitions.
